It's difficult to pin down just where to start with N. Many have called him an "enigma of a character". His sister, Concordia, has described him as having a pure an innocent heart, but in the same sentence claimed that there's nothing more beautiful and terrifying than innocence. And on a more extreme note, his foster father harshly declared him "a freak without a human heart". In some way these statements all ring true in one fashion or another, but there are complicated layers in between, almost all of them a result of his past and coupled with his recent adventures and new found freedom.

N started out as an emotional stunted teenager, a childish but intelligent mind trapped in a near-adult body. Raised to believe that humans were the source of all Pokemon suffering, he saw himself as the hero that would save them all, and very little could be done to change his mind. Ghetsis had planted the seeds of this in his head at a young, impressionable age, and his isolated upbringing amongst people who shared this belief and abused Pokemon who would only tell him horror stories of unfair, abusive trainers only served to make this seed sprout in to a twisted tree of his current beliefs.

But his travels during the game, his encounters with other people and other Pokemon who spoke of different ideals swayed his mind in to doubt, and once he learned the truth of Ghetsis' real plan he realized how wrong he was to try and force the world in to black and white ideals. After spending so much of his life claiming he couldn't understand humans, only Pokemon, he realized at the end that he didn't even truly understand Pokemon as much as he thought he did.

His defeat against the player and the reveal that he had merely been a pawn certainly knocked a bit of humility in to N, but one day cannot change a person's entire upbringing, and much of N's personality remains roughly the same. He is still socially awkward, unable to fully understand emotions, even his own. He would rather spend time with Pokemon than humans, but he at least knows now that he cannot avoid them entirely. It will take time for him to adjust to the idea that self imposed isolation will only damage him further. Chances are it will be difficult for him, especially since he has such a hard time not understanding why people don't see things the way he does, but it's the idea that embracing other ideals rather than rejecting them that he learned at the end that will help him in this.

But much like a child who never did fully grow up, N still has a lot of child-like tenancies. He is curious, fascinated by equations and chemical reactions as well as transportation. He absolutely loves the idea of a Ferris wheel, how the circular motion is "like a collection of elegant formulas". His room also showed that he enjoyed trains, skateboarding, building blocks and basketball.

He can be shockingly loyal and protective, though. Even though they were human, he was protective of the grunts of Team Plasma, likely because he saw them as a bit of an extended family since they were likely the only other people besides Ghetsis, his sisters, and the Seven Sages that he saw on a fairly regular basis. This even translates to trying to stop Ghetsis from attacking the player after their battle, as he admits before "I was starting to like you". Compassion is in there, somewhere, along with a myriad of other emotions and feelings that he might in time come to understand and embrace, but it's certainly not something that will happen quickly.

( Strengths/Weaknesses ) :
✔Ability to speak to Pokemon/sense their feelings - what it says on the tin. N has the rare ability to understand Pokemon and speak to them.
✔/✘Passionate/Driven - At the start, he had a goal and he was determined to reach it. He was passionate about the liberation of Pokemon and convinced that he could become the Hero of Unova in order to accomplish this. Chances are he could easily turn this passion towards other, more productive goals if given the chance.
✔ Intelligent - Though raised in isolation, he still received a good education via the Sages, his sisters and probably other Team Plasma members. He's fascinated with equations and formula, and seems to have an interest in transportation as well.
✔/✘ Childish - When he's not being overly serious, N seems a bit like a curious child with a motormouth and somewhat childish tenancies. Thankfully he's not prone to tantrums, but he does get overly huffy whenever he fails to make people "see things his way".
✘ Socially awkward/difficulty connecting with and understanding other humans - Again, what it says on the tin. Growing up with abused and mistreated Pokemon and only a handful of other people who are only feeding your views of a messed up outside world doesn't exactly make for the most socially adept person ever.
✘ Emotionally stunted - and like above, he doesn't really understand human emotional all that well, which means he doesn't understand his own emotions very well.

( Other Important Facts ) :
N pretty much had a catch-fight-release policy when it came to Pokemon, but he did keep two at the very end of B/W, and he'll be bringing these ~~two~~ one with him to ~~Vatheon~~ the Bastion.

~~Zekrom, as this is the one he rides off on, and~~ Zoroark as evidence in B/W2 and some other materials proves. ~~Zekrom, due to size, will stay in it's Pokeball unless N is up on the island, but Zoroark will likely be out more often than not.~~

For

thebastion, Zoroark will be limited to the same three-a-day use as Hilda's Pokemon team.
